Playa al agua Travel Guide
Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and seePlaya El Agua is on the Isla Magarita in Venezuela. It is truly a
beach paradise offering its visitors warm breezes and beautiful
scenery. It rarely rains here and 2.5 miles of white sand and tall
coconut palms will guarantee a vacation that can’t be beat. Needless to
say, the sun is always shining in Playa El Agua. There are a total of
46 restaurants, either indoor or outdoor that you can try with all
different types of food and many hotels.
Beach Boulevard
Just walk up the beach boulevard and you will find tour guides, car rentals, restaurants, bars and supermarkets, not to mention a flea market. There are tons of shops where you can purchase anything you may need and wares from local artisans. There are many hotels and some are large and all inclusive. At all-inclusive hotels you pay one rate for your room and all your food, drinks and most activities are included.
If you don’t want to stay at a hotel you can find locals that have houses they are willing to rent. Many locals have accommodations for guests. You will get the real flavor of the area if you stay with a local family.
Dining and Restaurants
Restaurants are generally only open in the day time so plan to have a late and heavy lunch no later than 4:00 pm. They are open later but only serve snacks and drinks while you sit in the beach chairs on the beach.
If you want to eat later you will have to travel about a mile or two up the beach to Playa Manzanillo (Playa means beach) on Manzanillo Bay. Here they have a number of restaurants that serve into the evening. Expect to pay around $25 per meal. In Playa del Agua meals are a little more expensive. The ocean is calmer in this bay as it is protected and fishermen moor their fishing boats here. You can usually see them drawing up their nets at the end of the day.
Most Popular Beaches
Another nearby beach (about 1.5 miles) is Playa Parguito where the waves are better and one can surf. This beach is crowded during the weekends but nice and calm during the week.
So sit back and relax. Catch the sun’s rays and have a great vacation on the Isla Margarita and Playa el Agua. This is surely a vacation destination that cannot be missed! Book a trip for your family today!Additional travel guides are available in ten languages at Wikitravel.org
