Beaches

From Maracay you can reach one of the most famous and characteristic beaches in Venezuela, which it's called Choronì. There are a lot of "posadas" (small hotels/inns) some of them very simple (and cheap) and others very beautiful (a little bit expensive like 50/60$ per night) with all kinds of service. The main beach is called "playa grande", that you can easily reach by foot from Choroní. Other beaches are "Cepe" and "Chauo" which you can reach with a small rented boat. The most attractive things are the rivers nearby Choroní, with natural slides and beautiful cascades.

The nicest "posadas" are Txuchiclan, Posada Choronì, Casagrande, Pittier, while two good restaurants are Casablanca and Casade.
