San Carlos Island: from Maracaibo you can get to San Carlos Island by boat (boarding from Punta Arenas, Muelle Navetur), beautiful desertic island in the gulf of Venezuela with fun beaches and great people, the main attraction is the Castillo de San Carlos a spanish fortress build as a defense for the city of Maracaibo.

Costa Oriental: from Maracaibo, crossing the Maracaibo Lake bridge are the citys of the east coast, Santa Rita, Cabimas, Ciudad Ojeda and Lagunillas, old cities with many history to share, here is the center of the oil industrie of Venezuela. The main attraction is the "Muro de Contención" a wall that contain the waters of lake Maracaibo wich are 3 feets over the city of Lagunillas.
