Rio Branco, Uruguay is located in the northeast part of Uruguay near the Brazilian border. Duck hunting is excellent here (Los Gauchos) with the multiple rice farms and fields. The towns are small in population, but large in number of ducks that migrate each Uruguay duck hunting season. Winter in Rio Branco begins May 1st and lasts until August. This is also the Uruguay duck hunting season.
