If you rent a car with driver for the day for about 200 soles, you can visit this coastal village. Here you can ask to rent a boat, which can take you an a tour around an island inhabited by an inmeasurable amount of birds. You can also see a lot of sea lions.

Beautiful beach, lined with small tropical hotels. The cliffs go land inwards here, so there is a coastal plains, just a few kilometers big. This strategic landfeature attracted the Spanish invaders, constructing the oldest church of South America, so they say. It is considered the first Southern Pacific church.

This is a very poor village, living mostly from artisanal fishing. That's about all they eat too. A good place to volunteer, I'd say.
The village is blessed with a wonderful beach though. When you get down to the beach where the boats are parked, take to the right. Keep walking, untill you see a cave. Get inside the cave and pass through it. This gets you to a completely secluded and huge other beach. If you like your beaches nice and tranquil, here it is.
There is no hotel in town, but someone will surely be willing to host you. more..
