Mindo Travel Guide

Mindo is famous for birdwatching.  There are many different species in the protected forest here and even real beginners can't fail to see hummingbirds around the feeders.

Mindo is easy for tourists - direct buses from Quito (from the Flor de Valle terminal on Manuel Larrea and Asuncion), a range of places to stay, whatever your budget, and several operators in the town offering guides, tours and excursions.
