Hotel El Isleño
Edit This
This is one of the all inclusive hotels - currently they hold a 3 stars rating but with the services there, I think they deserve more. It is operated by Decameron and it was the first hotel build in the island some 30 years ago. (There are a total of 4 or 5 hotels; San Luis, Aquarium, MarAzul, Isleño and Maryland operating under Decameron managment
If you are a guest in one of teh decameron above mentioned, you can dine in their other resorts free of charge , you just have to make reservations a day or two prior. Transportation between hotels is free (by resort shuttle) - good bus schedule.
It is one of the cheaper resorts of the chain but I think it also has the best location of them all as it is situtated on the main beach, in town.
Con - next to the airport but since the island so small (shape of a sea horse), it doesn't really matter where you stay as you can always hear airplanes coming & going.
You can go to Trip Advisor to see reviews. I think we paid $750 CDN for a 7 day stay but I've heard others paying more... it prob depends on who you book with and when. Prices includes: lodging, air, shuttle to hotel, food, drinks, transport between resorts and taxes. The island itself is duty free.
