7 Day Itinerary in Medellin

You will be hard pressed to cover all the stunning attractions in Medellin if you only have a few days to spend here, and therefore, it is absolutely essential that you have the perfect Medellin Itinerary.

Day 1: Botero and Barefoot Park

Botero is present everywhere in the city through his sculptures, and you must visit the hub of Botero paintings and breathtaking creations, the Museo de Antioquia. Here, along with 108 paintings of Botero, you may savor the paintings of other outstanding contemporary international artists. Once you complete your tour in the museum, you must head towards the Barefoot Park where you can dip your feet in the cool water of the fountains, and relax while sipping your favorite drink or digging into your favorite snacks.

Day 2: Piedro de Penola

Piedro de Penola, with its mystical ambiance, is a spectacular site. There are about 700 steps you need to climb through the steep staircase to reach the top of the summit where a splendid view of the sprawling islands will take your breath away.

Day 3: Theme Park: Pueblito Paisa

Situated at the top of Nutibara hill, Pueblito Paisa is a magnificent theme park where you can experience the simulation of a 20th Century Colombian village. Besides, the Nutibara hill will give you a breathtaking vista of the Medellin city.

Day 4: Shopping 

Medellin is at the heart of a textile industry and has plenty to offer in terms of shopping. The entire city is dotted with a bunch of upscale shopping malls with Oviedo, El Tessoro and San Diego topping the list. Besides, Medellin has a wide range of shops along the El Centro Street where you can strike a bargain to make your purchase within range.

Day 5: Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden in Medellin is so huge that ideally you need two entire days to cover it. The garden probably features the whole gamut of plants and flowers existing on earth. More than 600 species of plants, trees and flowers are displayed there.

Day 6: Santa Fe de Antioquia

Santa Fe de Antioquia, with its Arcadian ambiance, will give you a breath of fresh air from the hubbub of the Medellin city. Located about 80 kilometers north of Medellin, Santa Fe de Antioquia is a picturesque historical town affluent with the last vestiges of the colonial era. Undoubtedly, it is an ideal place for a day trip.

Day 7: Medellin Night Life

Sleep through the daytime on the 7th day to enjoy the Medellin nightlife at night. Crammed with a series of discos, clubs and bars all around, Medellin night life will make your last day an exciting and unforgettable experience.
