This hotel is recommended for both single travelers and families with young children. The neighborhood area around the hotel is safe but as in any South American city, you should be careful. We mentioned that this hotel is friendly with young children, because it is near the zoo and a cool water park . Most of the reception staff speaks English, so that is very helpful when asking recommendations for sight seeing or needing other questions answered.

This is a 3-star hotel located on Avenida 9N # 9-24 that provides the best bang for your buck. This hotel is a frequent destination for local couples looking for a romantic getaway in Cali, because of its proximity to the zona rosa (an area full of restaurants, bars and night clubs). The guest rooms are not that big but all are well-equipped with amenities such as hardwood floors and a hot tub. The Hotel Casa del Alferez is a hotel that tries hard to have most of its staff be fluent in English, however they are also happy for you to practice your Spanish skills, no matter what level. Breakfast is served daily until 10:30 a.m.

first class operation at an afforable rate,$69 per nite for a single when I stayed there..great staff ,great rooms, 3 resturants within , bar by the pool, attached to a mall with the Unicentro mall across the street..great part of the city..downtown within about 20 minutes..also very good security features about the hotel..most staff also speak very good English..very accomodating features
