Vila velha Travel Guide

Vila Velha (Old Village) is the name of a group of natural sculptures that look like ruins of a deserted city. Situated approximately 80 Km Northwest from Curitiba and 20 Km Southeast of Ponta Grossa, Vila Velha is as a well-known tourist attraction.

 The sculptures are located in a National Park. The sandstone sculptures have received a variety of names suggested by the imagination of the visiting public: Cyclops city, camel, sphinx, ship's prow, bottle, turtle, cup (the symbol of Vila Velha) and others. The heights range from a few meters to about 30 meters.
