Nightlife and Entertainment in Fortaleza

The excitement doesn't stop at sundown, but rather it continues into the early hours of the morning. Fortaleza nightlife is exciting and vibrant, and provides tourists an avenue to enjoy the uniqueness of the place. Here are just a few of the many nightlife and entertainment venues available.
Pirates Bar
One of Fortaleza’s premier bars is the Pirates Bar. The excitement at the bar will be evident in your eyes the next morning. Pirates is a popular place and is normally crowded, with the excitement and music reaching a feverish pitch around midnight. Every Monday, the bar really turns wild and is called ‘craziest Monday’. There is an entrance fee of $15, and the bar is open from 8 p.m. until the sun rises.
Mucuripe Club
The Mucuripe Club is located in Varjota, Fortaleza; it is the biggest nightclub in the city. The club is a popular hang-out for many people, especially those looking to have a night of pure entertainment coupled with some good music and drinks. This club is a ‘must-go’ if you are in Fortaleza.
Amicis
The Amicis is a great Italian restaurant, where you will get the best possible Italian food in Fortaleza. The restaurant changes into a vibrant nightclub after 11 p.m. Saturday is the time to go there if you like samba music from the past. Centrally located, the Amicis is easy to get to and is a great place to enjoy the night.
Orbita
The Orbita is a nice club where you will find live bands playing a variety of Pop, Reggae, Rock and other genres. You can sit at the bar and enjoy your drink, play a game of pool or just enjoy the music. There is a $5 fee to enter, but if you were there before 10 p.m., you can get in for free.
Boteco
The Boteco bar is a great place to meet friends and hang out over some great food and drink. The bar has live music and several kinds of drinks. The specialty of the house is ‘Coxinah de Carangejo’ – a chicken leg shaped piece made from crab meat. The bar is a good place to enjoy some great food and drink.
