Fernando de Noronha is an archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean, midway from South America to Africa, around 220 miles (354 km) away from the Brazilian coast.
The islands are home of the sharks, tuna, marine mammals and largest concentration of tropical seabirds in the Western Atlantic. Baia de Golfinhos has an exceptional population of dolphins.
