The historic city of Corrientes offers both modern and historical hotels. Hotels with many amenities such as swimming pools and gyms are great for families, but there are several budget options as well in Corrientes. Most hotels are located in the cities center, either on Plaza JB Cabral or the river Paraná. Both of these locations are close to shopping and walking distance to the cities wonderful historical sites.

 La Rozada Hotel

While staying in the capital city of Corrientes I recommend treating yourself to a stay at the luxurious La Rozada Suites hotel. The La Rozada hotel is not only a hotel it is a historical landmark, and was once home to Desimoni y Nicolini General Store, established in 1880. This exquisite hotel is convenient to most tourist hot spots in Corrientes. You can quickly walk to the historic quarter, shopping and the Paraná River. Their comfortable and luxurious modern rooms include kitchens with granite counter tops and original works of art by local artists.

Hospedaje San Lorenzo

If you are a budget traveler you may want to try a hostel instead of a hotel. Hostels usually offer private rooms as well as shared dorm accommodations. You will probably want to stay away from Hostal del Rio and instead try the Hospedaje San Lorenzo. This hostel is well-located in the center of Corrientes. The rooms are small and the décor minimalistic, but you can’t beat this price anywhere else in town.

Hotel San Martín

If you are the type of person who really enjoys a balcony and a great shower then Hotel San Martín is where you will want to be. This mid-range hotel is on Plaza JB Cabral. It features clean rooms and strong water pressure. The shared balconies are a great place to do some people watching or just read a book. To eat breakfast there will be an extra charge and the hotel staff is known to be stingy with the TV remotes.

Gran Hotel Turismo

The kids will love the swimming pool at the Gran Hotel Turismo. This Corrientes hotel offers a location by the riverside and a large full service restaurant. This hotel was constructed in 1948 and offers old world historical charm to its guests. The rooms are clean but could use a little updating. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
