The largest Ramp Festival in the state of West Virginia is held within Richwood. Occuring during one weekend in April the city played host to over 12,000 people this year making it the largest crowd on record in the festival's history. Most widely known as the Feast of the Ransom the city cleans thousands of ramps during a process that takes over a few weeks to complete to prepare for the droves of people.

Send in the US's only land locked Navy! That's right its time for the Cherry River Festival which is celebrated during the first full week in August every year. The festival has car shows, parades, events, and an aquacade that everyone can enjoy. Come join the citizens of Richwood and the people of Nicholas County and West Virginia as we play homage to the Cherry River Navy and its enlistment of men and women. This very patriotic event is the second largest in the county only under the Nicholas County Fair. Also hosts a fairground and live bands downtown during the evening.

In October the city plays hosts to some of the countries best artists. The Mountain Color Arts show is hosted every year and takes place at Richwood City Hall. This weekend festival invites art lovers from all over to take part in the breathtaking work of hundreds of local and national artists as they show their fine works to the public.
