The
Washington Monument is the largest monument, and the most
recognizable point on Washington's skyline. Finished in 1885, it is the
the largest masonry
structure in the world. While it offers the highest view of
downtown, at 555 ft., be sure to be there early as they day's tickets,
free as always, are handed out at 8:30 AM. Reservations are
available by phone at 1-800-967-2283 from 10 am to 10 pm EST.
