Eating Out
Edit ThisIf you love Chinese buffets, there are plenty in your choice of Washington D.C. restaurants. But for a good food at a great price, check out Fortune Star Buffet in Rockville, Maryland. It is conveniently located on Rockville Pike and the red line metro is a block away. For one price, you can enjoy unlimited helpings of duck, grilled salmon, crab legs, salt and pepper shrimp, and a sushi bar. On holidays, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Mother's Day, they serve lobster. If it is your birthday, you can eat for free if you bring 4 or more people.
If you love Thai food, one Washington D.C. restaurant you must try is Neisha Thai on 4445 Wisconsin Avenue N.W. in Tinleytown. The food here is very fresh. One of the dishes they are known for is the shrimp pad thai. It is the best in D.C. The noodles are light, the scallions and bean sprout are crisp, and there are plenty of shrimp. Other good choices are the pineapple fried rice, roasted duck, and the lemon grass pork. The decor is very elegant with small lit candles on tables at night. For more information, visit their website at neisha.net.

Woo Lae Oak
Edit ThisWoo Lae Oak is Korean cuisine at it's best. The Bul Go Ki (Korean BBQ beef) is brought out raw and is cooked at the grill located in the table. The Chap Chae (stir fried noodles with beef and vegetables--enough for 3-4 people) is a perfect appetizer. There is always something for everyone, including a vegetarian menu. The green tea ice cream for dessert is smooth and delicious.
Always one of my favorites, I make an effort to go to Woo Lae Oak whenever I am in town.

CAFE 8
Edit Thiswww.cafe8dc.com
there's a single dish that would draw me back right now, it's that pide (pronounced PEA-day), or Turkish pizza. What distinguishes the pie from the crowd out there is its shape: Two sides of the dough are folded inward to create a crust that resembles a boat.
There are several toppings to mull over; a combination of spinach, feta cheese and olives is among the crowd-pleasers. Created by Hamza Celik, a veteran of Cafe Divan in Georgetown, the food at Cafe 8 includes leaden cheese-stuffed phyllo rolls (cigar borek), overly smoky eggplant more..

Logan Tavern
Edit ThisThis upscale but casual restaurant serves sophisticated comfort food (wasabe-encrusted meatloaf, excellent burgers and salads, and a splendid brunch menu) in a hip but unpretentious atmosphere. The youthful waitstaff is as attentive as they are attractive, and local neighborhood residents have been making regulars of themselves since the restaurant's opening early in Fall 2003. Although a handful of new places are starting to open, there are still far too few restaurants of this quality in this part of town. For an added feel for the neighborhood, sit at the more..
