The Thrifty Quaker is a nonprofit church thrift shop that donates each month's profits to a different charity. Clothing, books, furniture, dishes, toys, shoes, and games are easy to find in the brightly painted shop. Friendly staff often have coffee, muffins, or other refreshments available for shoppers. Weekly discounts make this a very affordable place to shop, and nice, almost new items can be found, in addition to vintage and almost antiques.
This large family-run used book store has a huge selection of any books you can think of, as well as the necessary large bookstore cat! If you love books, you need to check this place out.

This new outdoor mall has the pleasant atmosphere of a quaint village without car traffic in the middle. People walk their dogs into many dog-friendly stores as others bring kids and friends to this nice gathering place. Shops include Saks, Anthropologie, Build-a-Bear, Godiva, Gymboree, Papyrus, Restoration Hardware, Sur La Table, United Colors of Benetton, and more. Restaurants include Starbucks, Cheesecake Bistro, and Brio's Tuscan Grille.
Another new outdoor mall, Short Pump Town center is located to the Northwest of the city center. Great outdoor shopping experience with fountains and benches for nice days and overhangs for rainy days. Shops and restaurants include Abercrombie and Fitch, Appalachian Spring, Baker's Crust, California Pizza Kitchen, Cocoanut Jewelry, Cold Stone Creamery, Crate & Barrel, Funny Bone Comedy Club, H & M, J. Jill, Nordstrom, Pottery Barn, Taco Maker, and Williams-Sonoma.
