The town is surrounded by some of Utah's finest red rock scenery. This beautiful countryside drew in Hollywood movie producers who filmed many western movies in the region, including "Outlaw Josey Wales" at the nearby Paria movie set. Nearby National Park Service sites include Grand Canyon North Rim, Zion, and Bryce. The huge Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument is also close by.
