Henry Mountains Travel Guide

South of Hanksville, Utah, and north of Bullfrog Marina at Lake Powell, the legendary Henry Mountains repose in majestic desert solitude. The five peaks of the Henrys are supposedly the last mountains seen by European explorers in the 19th century, and they still feel very much undiscovered. The area is managed by the BLM out of the Hanksville office, but it's rare to encounter another human in the area. Rugged, mostly unknown, and displaying a variety of landforms and topography, this area will delight the desert lover with many backcountry surprises.
