Future site of a major tourist destination, LAGUNA is in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, home to major celebrities and political figures such as former President Lyndon B. Johnson. Laguna is about 23 miles north of UVALDE, birthplace of Matthew McConaughey and home of FDR's Vice President John Nance Garner, and also the location of colorful personality Thomas Chilton "Chili" Stoner and his Stray Star Ranch. A few miles away towards Bracketville is the shooting location for John Wayne's "The Alamo."
