Pigeon Forge is a tourist destination on the road from Knoxville to Gatlinburg.

Major activities in Pigeon Forge consist of Dollywood (Dolly Parton's mountain-themed amusement park), The Old Mill (a rustic sort-of shopping center/historical attraction), Dolly's Splash County (Dollywood water park offshoot) and holiday and annual events such as The Grand Rod Run.
