Hotels
Most popular are the many chain hotels in the area. They have a reputation to uphold of being clean, safe, and moderately priced. They also have the benefit of being able to accommodate hoards of guests; this is especially convenient during times of the year when the city is full of tourists. Because there are so many chain hotels, and competition between them is rather high in Nashville, prices for the nicer places stay at a consistent $100 to $150 per night. Most include a pool, internet access, complimentary breakfast, and a shuttle service to and from the airport.
The Embassy Suites Nashville at Vanderbilt is a nice option. Located in the heart of Music Row and only one mile from downtown, this hotel makes for a nice home base while exploring the city. The Marriott Nashville is a lovely place to stay as well. It is conveniently located on 16 acres of well-landscaped hills that are very close to the Nashville International Airport.
Luxury Resorts
There are several fantastic luxury resorts in Nashville. The Hermitage Hotel is a highly recommended Nashville landmark. Built in 1910 as a sign of Nashville’s prominence as a Southern city, this architecturally intricate, 5-star hotel will treat you a stay like no other. The Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center is also the perfect place to pamper yourself. With 3 atriums, shops, restaurants, a spa, salon, and fitness center, you may never want to leave. The most inexpensive rooms at both of these resorts are about $200 per night.
Budget Accommodations
Cheaper options include the city’s hostels. You can get a shared room for around $25 per night, and the rooms are actually quite nice. The hostels generally provide internet access or Wi-Fi, a kitchen, TV, and breakfast. The Nashville International Hostel just opened in 2009 and is really close to downtown Nashville as well as the bus stop. It has two kitchens available for guests, high-definition TV, and a BBQ. Hostels are excellent options for those on a budget.
