McCrady’s
Famous Charleston restaurants include McCrady’s, which was built in 1788 and was the favorite gathering place for Charleston’s 79 early leaders. It even had a celebratory dinner for President George Washington. Its allure is undeniable with its elegant, yet warm, atmosphere featuring 220-year-old exposed brick walls and fireplaces. The dramatic skylights highlight the bluestone tiles and the two-story wine bar. The food is outstanding and the creation of a young chef by the name of Sean Brock, who has been acclaimed for his creative style of cooking, blending classic Southern dishes with sophisticated modern taste.
