Yachats Travel Guide
Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and seeCalling itself "Gem of the Oregon Coast", this tiny community nestled between the surf and the mountains is truly a beautiful little gem. Several fine motels line the beachfront, many with fireplaces to ward off the chill that often blows in off the ocean. There are also several campgrounds close by for the warmer months.
There are two gas stations, several restaurants to fit any budget, one food market, along with lots of cute shops, but not one stop signal in town.
Activities include hiking on numerous scenic trails at nearby Cape Perpetua, beachcombing for agates, fishing off the rocks or along the banks of the Yachats river, or just kicking back and enjoying a winter storm from the comfort of your cozy motel room.
People say there is a healing spirit around Yachats, a belief which was held by the original native residents.
