Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and seeStillwater, located approximately 67 miles north of Oklahoma City along I-35 is a quaint little college town. Stillwater is the home of Oklahoma State University, and the collegiate wrestling hall of fame. The University has recently added an Alumni Center that gives an excellent depiction of the history of this land grant college along with a general history of the area.
In years past, Stillwater has been notorious for its night life. There's a row of bars along Washington street that come alive at night. Among these establishments are the Copper Penny, J.R. Murphy's and Willies. Willies is the bar where Hall of Fame country singer Garth Brooks got his start. Eskimo Joe's, known as "Stillwater's jumpin' little juke joint" is a restaurant bar that is known throughout the world for its t-shirt, which has been claimed as the second best selling shirt in the world, next to Hard Rock Cafe's shirts.
