Jenks is located along the west bank of the Arkansas River and is the location of the first riverside commercial district in the Tulsa area with the opening of Riverwalk Crossing, a retail, restaurant, and office complex. Jenks, a former oil town, has become a major travel destination because of the Oklahoma Aquarium's opening in May 2003. But before that time, Jenks claimed (and continues to claim) the title of "Antique Capitol of Oklahoma." Located in Tulsa County, Oklahoma, Jenks is a city of 10,000 people.
