Fairfax Travel Guide

Fairfax is a town of over 1,500 people located in Osage County, Oklahoma, and was once home to one of the original Tastee-Freez Restaurants.  Remember "sucking on chili dogs" from John Cougar's "Jack and Diane" 1982 number one hit single?  Unfortunately, a traveller driving through town last Christmas noted that the old Tastee-Freez was closed and look like it might have had a new tenant trying to open a new hamburger stand.  Ballerina Maria Tallchief was from Fairfax.
