Alfalfa County Travel Guide

Alfalfa County is located in northeastern Oklahoma bordering Kansas.  The County seat is Cherokee.  Farms and ranches make up the bulk of the economy of Alfalfa county, and it is one of the largest wheat producing counties in the world.  Travelers will want to visit the the Homesteader's Sod House near Cleo Springs, the Salt Plains National Wildlife Reserve, the Great Salt Plains State Park, hunt birds on the Great Salt Plains Reservoir, or dig for selenite crystals near the town of Jet.
