Eating Out in Cleveland

Edit This

If you are into Spanish cuisine, one excellent choice in Cleveland restaurants is Mallorca located at West 9th Street in the Warehouse District. Everything here is fresh and the portions are huge. For lunch, try the penne with shrimp, fried squid, shrimp in garlic sauce, mussels in hot tomato sauce, lobster ravioli, and stuffed filet of sole. Dinner service includes veal scallopini, linguini with mussels and shrimp, and stuffed chicken breast. Every meal comes with rice, vegetables, and Spanish potatoes. Mallorca has an extensive drink and wine list. Make sure you leave room to have their rum cake for dessert.

Cleveland is quite a culinary destination. Downtown there are many delis proclaiming to have world famous corned beef. Cleveland is very fortunate to have so many ethnic restaurants in Slavic Village and Chinatown. Ethnic restaurants mix with more contemporary restaurants in places like Little Italy, Ohio City and Tremont. Trendy and chic restaurants often with vallet parking and excellent sidewalk seating for people-watching are in no shortage in downtown's Warehouse District or Lower Euclid Avenue District.  The diners along W.117th make greasy-spoon dining an art and are open twenty-four hours. Casual riverfront dining is very popular in the Flats during the summer. There are relatively few chain restaurants in Cleveland compared to other cities, but there are no shortage of chain restaurants in the suburbs. There is a good restaurant in Cleveland for all tastes and price-ranges.

Empress Taytu Ethiopian Restaurant

Edit This

There is nothing quite so exotic in the world of cuisine as Ethiopean. This restaurant in particular is thoroughly authentic with traditional Ethiopean sitting and eating arrangements as an option. The great thing about Ehiopean is that it is very different, but many people hesitant of new things will not find it objectionable to their own tastes. The scent of African incense and Ehiopean trinkets creates an atmosphere of mystique. Try their Ethiopean honey wine with your meal too!

West Side Market Cafe
