Corning has a population of about 13,000. A fairly small city it is in a wonderful area and has much to see and do. Corning is nicknamed The Crystal City because it is the home of Corning Inc. and the Corning Museum of Glass. The Gaffer District is a historic downtown commercial street.
At the southern end of the Finger Lakes region one usually includes Corning as part of a visit to the area in general.
