Skaneateles Travel Guide
Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and seeOfficially designated a “Stress Free Zone”, the Village is a storybook of shops, restaurants and of course, Skaneateles Lake. From the Wooden Boat Show to Skaneateles Festival to Charles Dickens Christmas, Travelers of all ages will fall in love. Wineries and Vineyards of the Fingerlakes Region are only minutes away, as well as historical museums, galleries and theatre. Relax, you’re in the Village
The Village is a "drive to" destination, but after you are there, walk to everything. The community is quite small [pop 2500] and quite dense. The Central merchant area is only two blocks [book-ended by two delightful public parks] and two other side streets [Jordan Street and Fennell Street].
Visit Skaneateles Suites http://www.skaneatelessuites.com for a Collection of Places to Stay including Hotel Rooms, Suites, Condos and DockSide Vacation Rentals. Also a Blog with Community activities and resources.
The Chamber of Commerce http://www.skaneateles.com is located in a hide-away office at 22 Jordan Street but is well worth finding; they are very enthusiastic and a wealth of local information.
