AMTRAK

Edit This

Amtrak, the national railroad for the United States has three train stations in the region:

DICK ROAD (BFD):  located on Dick Road, between Walden and Broadway.

---Empire Corridor trains, Lakeshore Limited (NY-Chicago), Maple Leaf (NY-Toronto)

EXCHANGE STREET (BFX):  located on Exchange, (near Washington), Downtown Buffalo

---Empire Corridor trains, Maple Leaf

NIAGARA FALLS (NFL):  located on Hyde Park, (near Ontario Street), Niagara Falls

---Empire Corridor trains, Maple Leaf

One word of note regarding the MAPLE LEAF trains with Amtrak (trains 63-64) may experience delays in BOTH directions from either New York City or Toronto.  Delays from New York involve construction along the "Empire Corridor" and from Toronto, delays are likely from customs checkpoints at the US/Canada border.

Attempts have been made with adjusting the schedules from Toronto due to increased border security, but delays still do occur frequently because of passengers with inadequate identification...so have those PASSPORTS ready for the agents when asked!
