Adirondacks Travel Guide
Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and seeWith over 3,000 ponds and lakes, 1,500 miles of rivers, and 2,000 miles of hiking trails, the Adirondack Mountian Area is an amazing place for anyone who loves the outdoors. Fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and anything to do with the water is a natural thing to do in the area in the summer. And, of course, there is no better place in the world for winter sports -- sking, snowmobile riding, and dog sledding.
Locations like Lake George and Lake George Village are located in the Adirondack Mountians. Other popular lakes include Raquette Lake, Indian Lake, and Long Lake. Perhaps Lake Placid is the most famous place in the Adirondacks, having been home to the Winter Olympic Games in 1932 and 1980.
