Alamogordo Travel Guide

Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and see
Located in southeastern New Mexico, Alamogordo is the gateway to the “Land of Enchantment,” as the state is known. Actually, locals and residents of the state refer to Alamogordo simply as “Alamo,” and it is packed full of interesting things to do, sights to see and great New Mexican cuisine to sample. The Alamo Zoo is the oldest in the southwest. For museums, check out the Old Toy Train Depot. White Sands National Monument is a mere 15 miles away, perfect for a day trip. Also check out Oliver Lee State Park, just south of the town, a site of historic battles between the Apache tribes in the area and the U.S. Army.
