Eating Out

For those who like Indian food with its exotic spices, one Reno restaurant to try is India Kabob Curry on North Virginia Street. There is a daily lunch buffet from 11:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Items on the buffet vary. But if you order from the menu, be sure to try tandoori gosht dalwala. This lamb entree come with black lentils and coriander. Another one is gosht curry which is basically lamb curry. Both are delicious. Other good choices are murg (chicken) vindaloo, murg tikka masala, and the tandoori shrimp. There is plenty of choices for vegetarians as well.

If you are looking for a unique and interesting Reno restaurant, head on over to Stone House Cafe at 1907 South Arlington. It is called Stone House because, well, it is a stone house. Customers can't get enough of their wonderful breakfast menu featuring pecan waffles, banana pancakes, peach melba french toast, or the free-range scrambled eggs with goat cheese & sun-dried tomatoes. Breakfast is served until 4 p.m., so if you are a late riser, you're still in luck. They offer lunch and dinner as well. To find more about this eatery, visit their really nice website at http://www.stonehousecafereno.com.

When you are looking for a Reno restaurant to have a nice dinner, try Rapscallion Seafood Restaurant at 1555 South Wells Avenue. It is one of the best, some say the best, seafood restaurant in the area. The decor is that of old English, with the dark wood tables and green leather bar stools. You can eat at an outside table when the weather is nice. Customers can also enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail at their bar. Popular entrees are the "shrobster," which is a half of a lobster stuffed with shrimp and the lemon pepper scallops.
