While it's easy to get distracted with the florescent lights and extraordinary casinos, Las Vegas and its surrounding area offers a wide array of outdoor activities. With great weather most of the year, it is impossible to have a complete vacation without doing at least one of the fun activities below.

Golf
Whether your are wanting to stay within a small budget or treat yourself to a more exclusive day of golfing, Las Begas has multiple golf courses to choose from. For an exclusive golf experience, visit the 7,002 yard golf course at the Bali Hai Golf Club. After a day of golfing at Bali Hai you can visit their tropically themed shop or spend the evening enjoying a fantastic dinner at the Cili Restaurant and Bar. Rates at Bali Hai Golf Club begin at $250.

For a more affordable golf experience, tee off at Desert Pines Golf Club where rates start $35 and you will experience beautiful pine trees, imported white sand, and amazing water features. Another affordable option is the Black Mountain Golf and Country Club where you will have the opportunity to take on the challenge of the course's 9 holes of true desert golfing.

Grand Canyon
Simply put, in order to get an entire Las Vegas experience you absolutely have to take a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon. Comprising of over 1.2 million acres of land the Grand Canyon is over a mile in depth. Most companies offer helicopter tours of the Grand Canyon include breakfast or lunch near the bottom of the canyon. Don't forget to tip your helicopter pilot for their services.

Lake Fun
Take a hiatus from the hustle of Las Vegas and set off for a day of fun at Lake Mead. Just 30 miles from Las Vegas in the city of Boulder, NV, Lake Mead is the 16th largest man made lake and perfect for all types of outdoor activities. Rent a jet ski or boat and set off toward the center of the lake, or spend your day relaxing while kayaking or fishing. In order to take in the full experience of the outdoors, spend the night camping under the mojave desert or spend a few hours bicycling around the lake. Cash may be required for parking, and a credit card is likely required to rent a

Pool Escapes
Sometimes the best way to experience the hot weather of Las Vegas is to spend your afternoon aside one of the famous pools in the beautiful city. Each hotel puts a unique twist on their pool atmospher but almost every pool Las Vegas's most famous hotels are breathtaking. Ceaser's Palace, Bally's Las Vegas, and MGM Grand all have pools that are heated between 75 and 80 degrees all year round.
