The Stratosphere has some of the best rates on the Strip and is used by many of the tour operators as a low cost choice. Anyone considering booking should however be aware of the location. Whilst it is on the Strip it is right at the top end and where the ’tourist’ part effectively ends. It is not really practical to walk down to the main part of the Strip and likewise the walk up to Fremont Street is both long and not particularly recommended after dark. However the hotel is well served by the trams and buses and of course the many taxis that ply their trade in Vegas.

The hotel is of course famous for its tower which at 1,149 feet is the tallest observation tower in the US. With the rollercoaster and other thrill rides at the top, a trip to the top of the Stratosphere is a must do for any Vegas visitor if only for the 360 degree views that are especially good at dusk when Vegas starts lighting up.
