Ever wonder what a ghost town looked like just before the last residents moved out?  Try visiting Goldfield.  There's no more than 50 people left and you'll be lucky to find a gas station thats still open, but all the beautiful buildings (including a hotel that's going to reopen soon--?) speak to the history of the region.  It is in the middle of nowhere, 1/2 way between Reno and Vegas on highway 95.
