If you plan to pass out on a taxi stand in Kansas City, I highly recommend doing so on the taxi stand outside of the Westin Hotel in downtown.  The concierge just allowed me to sleep until my friends found me, and I never felt insecure about the situation.  This hotel really knows how to take care of its guests.

Also, for great entertainment that might lead up to a taxi stand sleeping experience, visit Kelly's and Blaney's in the Westport section of Kansas CIty. 

Kansas City is known as The City of Fountains because there are a lot of water fountains there.

The headquarters of Hallmark Cards is in Kansas City and it is well worth taking a tour of the facilities.
