Vicksburg Travel Guide

Vicksburg, Mississippi is known as "the River City" and is nestled in the bluffs of the Mississippi River. Vicksburg is home to the National Military Park (which commemorates the battle for Vicksburg and contains an 18 mile long tour road), several antebellum homes, many good local restaurants, antique shopping, and now the newly rennovated downtown shopping district. For a more modern flare, Vicksburg has an outlet mall called the Vicksburg Factory Outlets and is home to four casinos: Ameristar, Horizon, Rainbow, and Isle of Capri. Vicksburg is a progressive city and a must-see for any visitor.
