Enjoy the beauty of Cascade Falls Park with plenty to do for all walks of life.  Hiking, ice skating in the winter and paddle boats in the summer, miniature golf and more. Be sure to visit the world famous Cascade Falls, a man-made concrete fountain that has been lit with lights for as long as I can remember (over 30 years).

Want to learn more about life in the 1800's in the Jackson area? Be certain to stop off at the Ella Sharp museum with a log cabin, one-room schoolhouse, county store and the Merriman Sharp Farmhouse.  The Ella Sharp Museum is the collection agency for Jackson's farming heritage which is rich and abundant.

The All Star Dairy is a must-go place, especially in the summer. Known as The Parlour, the dairy serves delectable flavors of ice cream that's worth the wait! If you're up to a challenge, try ordering their 21 scoop Dare-To-Be-Great 'dish.'

Racing fans are sure to know about Jackson as it serves home to the Michigan International Speedway, one of the fastest and largest tracks in the USA. 

Hot Air Balloon fan? On the third weekend in July Jackson hosts the annual Hot Air Jubilee at the Jackson County Airport.

Interesting facts: Jackson served as the primary training facility for the Civil War; was the birthplace of the Republican Party and is known as the crossroads of Michigan as it's central location serves as the switching and repair headquarters for the Michigan Central Railroad, dating back to the HQ's start in 1910.
