Dunn-Gaherin's
Edit ThisA great Irish-style pub with a devoted local following, exceptionally friendly staff, and a homey atmosphere. The small size belies its great food and good selection of beer on tap. It tends to be closed Sundays, Mondays, and holidays, and exceptionally crowded during the immediate post-work rush (to the point where it becomes a traffic hazard), but it's worth any wait (and who cares about waiting, anyway, when you can wait with a pint of Guinness?).

Bob's Sub Stop
Edit ThisLocated in Newton Upper Falls, Bob's Sub Stop is a favorite of Newton locals who have visited the local sandwich shop since they were in middle school. Serving up delicious hot and cold subs for breakfast, lunch, and very early dinners, with fresh vegetables and perfect portions, Bob's is a Newton favorite for a reason. The best sub at Bob's is undoubtedly its Chicken Finger Sub, which is a dream-like marriage between warm breaded chicken and delicious sandwich toppings. Perhaps the best part about Bob's is its friendly service. Its owners have been part of the Newton community more..
