Edit ThisLocated across the a parking lot from the State Capitol Building, the Maine State Museum houses interesting exhibits that chronicle the history, products, and culture of Maine. Among the exhibits are wax figures of traditional Maine workers, such as fishermen, lobstermen, and woodsmen. There are also many impressive diaramas and models of industry and wildlife. Among these is a three-level mill complete with turning gears and turbine. Admission is 2 dollars for adults, one dollar for children between 6-18 years, and free for children under six.
