If you want the real deal when it comes to great Louisiana boiled seafood, this is it. This is the perfect place to stuff yourself full of fresh boiled crawfish and shrimp. On one particular visit, it was so good that they sold out of crawfish completely.
The service is friendly, the place is spotless, and the food is great. If upscale dining and four star decor is your thing, you might want to go elsewhere. This is a locals dining experience and it is pretty utilitarian.
NOTE: There is a big sink in the middle of the place to wash up. After you've been eating boiled seafood, it is a very nice and necessary touch.
Since the highway department is preparing Hwy 90 to become Interstate 49, it has become a bit confusing as to how to get to the Boiling Point. Driving south from Lafayette, you will drive past the Boiling Point on Hwy 90 (it'll be on your right). You will then exit at the next exit immediately past the Boiling Point and turn right, then right again on the access road.
