The Louisiana Folklife Festival highlights the continuing work of the Louisiana Folklife Program within the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Department of Culture, Recreation, and Tourism in order to document, preserve, and promote Louisiana's folk culture resources.  Join us each year during the second weekend of September in Monroe Louisiana to celebrate our heritage derived from many countries, cultures, and ethnic groups.  This rich and varied mixture has resulted in a dynamic people who exhibit a zest for living.
