Things to do

The Wizard of Oz made Kansas famous for its tornados for good reason.  Kansas is a favorite destination for storm chasers from all over the US.  Its eastern half is mostly flat farmland, which makes it easy to view the supercells that pop up and frequently produce tornados every spring.  The peak of the tornado season is late May, so be sure to watch out for storms, and don't forget your camera.
