Arkansas City Travel Guide

Located on US 77 and US 166 highways in Cowley County, Kansas, Arkansas City is a cute town of just under 12,000 residents. There are grocery stores, a Blockbuster, the basics. Outside the town, there are golf courses. There is no longer a theater in the town, but there is a new one five miles to the north at Strother Field.  "Experience the rush" at the Cherokee Strip Land Rush Museum on the south side of town.  Ark City, as it is called by the locals, is also home to Cowley County Community College.
