Yorkville is located on the Fox River, sharing boundaries with the towns of Sugar Grove, Montgomery, Oswego, Plainfield, Newark, Millington, and Plano. It is the county seat for Kendall County. Yorkville is home to the Wrigley Corporation and F.E. Wheaton. Representative (IL-R) and Speaker of the House Dennis "Denny" Hastert is from the town of Yorkville. Yorkville's estimated population in 2004 was 9556.
