Getting There

The main airport on Maui is located in the town of Kahului, on the northern side of the island. Several airlines, including United and TWA, fly directly to Maui from the U.S. Mainland. It is also possible to fly to Honolulu (the island of Oahu) or the Big Island of Hawaii and then catch an inter-island flight to Maui. Aloha and Hawaiian Airlines are the two inter-island carriers.

All animals coming to the islands are quarantined and all baggage has to go through agricultural inspection.
