Eating Out

For a filling, inexpensive local Hawaiian meal,  try Blaine's drive-in in downtown, near the park.    They have a very simple menu, with several choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner... and you can even pack a lunch for the road.

If you are into the fast food chains, you will have to drive down Hwy 11, just south of Hilo....and you will get your share of Mc Donald's, Taco Bells, Pizza Huts and others to quench your craving.    There is also a Wal Mart off this road, in case you need to do some shopping (and Mc Donald's inside, too)
